Sinbad continued!

After Sinbad had a safe boat ride home, he arrives to his house. There he finds a letter from the Merchants saying the diamonds were stolen and they need his help because he is the only man who knows where to find the diamonds. Sinbad is so aggravated because he just arrived back home, but on the other hand he is so excited to take another adventure. Since he spent time with the big bird, Roc, he learns a call that will make the roc appear. He makes the bird call and the roc soars through sky into Baghdad. Sinbad sees the bird and calls one more time and roc took its landed two feet away from Sinbad's house. Sinbad ties a long swing to the birds talons and flies back to where the Merchants are. Once he arrives he notices that there are three other rocs there with the Merchants on them. From there, Sinbad leads the way to the steep valley where the beautiful diamonds were. Once they have landed, one of the Merchants went to go grab a diamond, Sinbad yelled, "No don't do tha...!" Right before he could finish, the Merchant got terribly bit by a snake and then died. So that leaves two Merchants and Sinbad. After Sinbad showed them how to approach the snakes with slow intentions, they finally got the diamond in the bag. They returned to the roc's and flew away, but while each roc was taking off, one of the rocs crashed into a large cave and fell and landed on top of the merchant and took his life away. Now this leaves Sinbad and one merchant. After a few minutes of turbulence, they land safely. The merchant became very selfish and demanded all the diamonds. Sinbad argued and took his share, the  merchant went after him but the roc that Sinbad became friendly with knocked him over and the merchant hit his head on a log and died. So in the end, because of Sinbad's generosity, he gets more diamonds and a knowledge of how to take a lead of an amazing adventure. He then learns that he can become friendly with a roc. The roc flies him home and the roc agreed to stay to be his transportation. And this is where Sinbad's life becomes amazing and untouchable. Nobody believed his story, but he didn't care. He knows what is true and what isn't true.

I think this means a women who goes through so much with her husband
and he possibly could of had an affair with someone's wife. He stabs her in
 the back and she feels like nothing. She's done so much, she has cleaned,
cooked, fought, and loved, for nothing.

Civil Peace

 

 

1. After reading the story i think after everything that has happened to Jonathan he still has an amazing outlook on life and he is so grateful for his life, his wife, his kids, and his house.

-Jonathan gets his money from taxiing people around, trading his money, and wine.

- Jonathan's money gets stolen by the thieves.

3. Jonathan has an incredible outlook on life. Even after he lost one child, fought off thieves, and gets his money stolen, he's just thankful that he has most of his family, and have a house to protect them. He knows that most people are not allowed to have this, so he becomes very thankful.

4. "Nothing puzzles God" means that things may happen and you don't understand why but God knows why it happened" - ms. a quote haha.

5. After the war, ordinary citizens are left with nothing, no jobs, no money, no family, and no house. Just like in the story, if men and woman had money, it would most likely get stolen from thieves and other citizens.

8. I think Jonathan was just extremely happy and so grateful for the fact for what he had after war. His life, his 3 out of 4 kids lives,his wife, his house, and his bicycle.

Dead Mans Path Questions

1. He's going to get hit in the head with a shovel and get beat up by the people because he did what he wanted instead of what the people wanted. People from the burial grounds, The deads mans path is what connects through the school grounds. The school gets vandalized from the local tribe.

2. Yes because he wouldn't have changed his mind. He's gotten a chance already. It wasn't the priests idea, it was his people's.

3. Poor. He thinks all their stuff shouldn't exist and he's responsible for whatever happens to the village and the school. He really enjoys his work though. He gets one chance and screws it up.

4. Modern Techniques. She admires him. They are suited from each other because they are so much alike. Her ideas are adapted from him.

5. If there was no problem, i think that it wouldn't have been serious as it was by attacking the school. There would be more words than actions.

Dead Mans Path Assignment 2

Performance Review

Name: Michael Obi

Job: Headmaster

Rating: Poor

Assessment: He tries to modernize the school but it didn't end up working, he didn't even bother asking about what the villages' likes and dislikes were, Obi blocked off the path, which the village did not like. The people then ripped up the schools garden to make the sacrifice.

Suggestion: To try a little bit harder, maybe get some advice or some information from the people to see what they want. He's being sellfish by not asking what they want.
